There are three different i-Teams programmes at the University of Cambridge, Innovation i-Teams, Medical i-Teams and Development i-Teams. All look at how to take real Cambridge innovations into the outside world, but with different areas of focus.
Innovation i-Teams investigates the best market approach for commercialising a new invention. It is open to post-graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and research assistants from any department, including the Babraham Institute and the British Antarctic Survey. Formerly called Technology i-Teams, a typical past syllabus is available here. Applications will open in late February for the Easter term course.
Medical i-Teams (in partnership with the Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences) investigates the best market approach for commercialising a new medical or health-related technology. It is open to post-graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and research assistants from any department, including the Babraham Institute and the British Antarctic Survey. The first Medical i-Teams course was held in Lent term 2018 and a typical syllabus is available here.
Development i-Teams (in partnership with the Centre for Global Equality) investigates how new innovations can be used to improve people’s lives in the developing world in a sustainable way.
