OvioTrap is an innovative, IoT-based solution designed to tackle the spread of dengue fever by focusing on its primary vector, the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
The OvioTrap includes several key features and functionalities including mosquito detection and counting, egg counting, measurement of environmental conditions and predictive analytics to forecast the spread of dengue outbreaks.
OvioTrap is in its third year of development, with successful prototype testing in residential areas. It has been enhanced with features for improved detection and data exchange with local health authorities. The focus is now on data forecasting and preparing for commercialization.
